Both quirky and delicious, Best of Thai Noodle is a small Thai joint in the Haight district of San Francisco. A great way to satisfy a grumbling tummy while out and about in the Haight area Shopping District. The inside of this restaurant is decked out with walls adorned in music notes, guitars and classic rock band photographs.
When dining at "Best of Thai Noodle," you will be presented with a generously portioned plate of steaming Thai cuisine. Unbelievably inexpensive prices combined with friendly staff makes this noodle joint a desirable location to revisit. A wide variety of traditional Thai dishes are available to choose from, either to dine in or for delivery. For those with a sweet tooth, the fried banana with ice cream is a dessert menu favorite. An assortment of authentically flavored curries are offered, from mild to super spicy. All dishes are made with your choice of meat or can be made vegetarian friendly with vegetables only or tofu.
To keep with the rock music theme, classic rock tunes can usually be heard rolling in the background. Unless, of course, a Giants game is on, in which case the restaurant usually opts to feature the game on one of their televisions instead.
As the name would imply, "Best of Thai Noodle" has some of the most scrumptious noodle dishes. Satisfy your palate with an appetizing noodle soup or a traditional Pad Thai dish. If you are craving a rice dish over slurping some noodles, Kao Pad Moo Dang Goon Cheang is flavored with a unique and delectable Chinese sausage. Also a good option for those who have a lower spice tolerance level, the Kao Pad Pu us a popular choice. Many spicy curries are also available, served alongside a heaping portion of white rice. If you are trying to stick to whole grains, brown rice can be substituted upon request.

La Mediteranee
The La Mediterranee, located in San Francisco and in Berkeley, has a fierce and loyal customer base and it's easy to see why. Located off Fillmore Street, the restaurant is quaint and cozy. Their traditional Mediterranean menu offers a variety of choices, sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. Local patrons rave about their favorite dishes and enjoy the excellent service staff.
La Mediterranee is open seven days a week. Lunch begins at 11 am and continues service to dinner hours. Sunday through Thursdays the restaurant closes at 10 pm. On Fridays and Saturdays the restaurant closes at 10:30 pm. Enjoy your meal in the beautifully decorated dining room, order takeout or let them cater your next event.
For appetizers one must try the Hummus, which is a traditional dip made from garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic and olive oil. The Djajiki Dip is a creamy dip made from cucumbers and yogurt. Both appetizers are served with fresh pita bread, warm from the oven. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of salads to start your meal. From traditional greens salads to lentil salad, it might be hard to choose just one.
For lunch, try their Falafel Sandwich served with greens and tahini. The Chicken Kebab is another excellent choice and is served over a rice pilaf. If you can't decide, try the Middle Eastern plate. You can choose three different lunch items and it comes with your choice of salad, soup or potato salad.
Make sure you come hungry for dinner, you may be tempted to order more than one item. The Lamb Lule is tender lamb meatballs mixed with tomatoes, onions, parsley and spices. It served over a bed of rice pilaf. The Chicken Pomegranate is four drumsticks that is slowly marinated in Pomegranate sauce then baked with a blend of herbs. For a lighter meal, try one of their Quiches. Flavors rotate each day. For a romantic meal, the Mediterranean Meza serves two and comes with ten different house specialties.

Miss SaiGon -- San Francisco, CA
Miss Saigon is a True Taste of San Francisco
If you are craving something different then Miss Saigon may indeed be for you. If you're new to Vietnamese cooking, I strongly suggest you give the Pho a try. Pho is a traditional Vietnamese soup filled with fresh vegetables, tender noodles, and other goodies, suspended in a tasty broth. Both the chicken and beef Pho are particularly yummy. If you're feeling less adventurous, one of the rice plates may be just the right choice. The grilled chicken breast and vegetables is a house favorite. Miss Saigon offers something for even the finickiest of eaters. The interior is quite charming and lovely, with candlelit tables and tasteful art hung on the walls. A reasonable variety of wine, spirits, teas, and soft-drinks are available. The service is top-notch and friendly. As soon as you enter you will be greeted and seated. There is never a overly-long wait in this little gem of an establishment.
Miss Saigon is a wonderful and eclectic taste of San Francisco. While the neighborhood may seem gritty at first, it’s definitely one of the more up-and-coming areas of the city. Trendy nightclubs, swank apartment buildings, and entertainment options are all close by. The newly re-modeled Metreon, San Francisco Shopping Center, and City Civic Center are within walking distance. Both taxis and public transit are easily accessible from the restaurant’s front door.
Located in San Francisco's chic but gritty Tenderloin is the wonderfully elegant Miss Saigon restaurant. This restaurant sits right on the corner of Sixth and Mission streets. The menu is a delicious blend of traditional Vietnamese cuisine at affordable prices. This is one of those rare San Francisco finds! Scrumptious food, friendly service, fair prices, and elegant decor are to be found here. All of this located near the trendy SOMA (South of Market) neighborhood.

Chef Xiu -- Mountain View, CA
The sun is always shining in California, and so is the food at a restaurant that has become the gemstone of the Mountain View community. Chef Xiu's is located at 855 W El Camino Real, Mountain View in California. The locale is petite, and it radiates with the aroma of the spices and different foods-a-cooking. Chef Xiu's cuisine is known for quality, service, and has impressed most of those who look its way, and could not help but follow the aroma right into the restaurant.
The Chef's Special Chicken, for example is pampered with fresh Chinese Basil that gives the chicken a strong and delicious taste, not to mention an enticing aroma. It also has jalapenos, chili, leeks, and garlic, so you know that this is quite the spicy dish but completely irresistible. Perhaps you would be more interested in something a little less spicy? What about a sizzling platter made up of a delicious bird, which has been heated just right, the tenderness makes it feel so delicate. It is complete with bell peppers, onion, and black beans in brown sauce. Or maybe you would like something you've heard of before? They also have Chow Mein; it has shrimp, beef, and chicken. Even though it is a dish that has been made quite popular, you have never had it before until you have experienced it at Chef Xiu's. The shrimp is ever so scrumptious, the beef could almost melt in your mouth, and the chicken is so tender and juicy it will make you want to sing.
They do not accept credit cards, which is important to know before going in. A satisfied customer said she did not mind because after finding this gem, there just isn't a point to go anywhere else. She mentioned having their Chow Mein and she could not believe how good it was. Chef Xiu's has a private lot for your convenience, and food that will satisfy that tummy of yours and the critic in your taste buds.
